” VIOLATION OF THE HUMAN RIGHTS. “

Rodrigo R. Duterte

News Article about Violation of Human Rights”

Reflect and summarize

Thousands of people were killed in the Philippines when President Rodrigo Duterte launched the
“War on drugs” on June 30, 2016, the day he took office. Part of
those killed were dozens of young people, 18-years-old and under, who were targeted or accidentally shot
while there were anti-drug raids. Authorities call it “collateral damage.” There are 101
number of youths killed from July 2016 to December 2018, according to children’s
rights and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) targeted or affected. Many more children
killed in media reports in 2019 and 2020.
In general, the number until January 31, 2020 of the Philippine National Police and of
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency killed in the “drug war” at 5,601. In almost all
case, police insist, pusher or drug user was killed in the raid because the suspects were
did not arrest and resisted. The Commission on Human Rights and local human
rights groups that have thousands more-approximately 27,000-killed by police, police agents, or
unknown assailant.
Terrible number of killings have not been properly investigated. According to
Department of Justice of the Philippines, in January 2019, there were only 76 killings
investigated. However, only 33 cases were filed in court and 5 were filed with the Office of
the Prosecutor, while the prosecutor dismissed half-38 cases. At the time of
written, only one case – the murder of Kian delos Santos by three policemen last
August 2017, which was accidentally captured on video – resulted in trial and sentencing.
Human Rights Watch also investigated the killings where there were none
respect the police for the safety and welfare of children, often executed
raid at midnight while the whole family was at home. In many raids, witnessed by
children the murder of their parent, or seen being dragged and shot
their parents.
The devastating result on the youth of Duterte’s anti-drug campaign is beyond immediate
that raid violence. Many suffer from psychological distress
distress) after seeing their loved ones murdered. Many children
had to leave their home and community, to hide or move because they were afraid for
in their lives and that of their family.

The concept is based on the recognition of human rights for all members of the human values and the inherent dignity they deserve to enjoy certain basic freedoms. The adoption of these freedoms, one can enjoy the security, safety, and be able to make decisions that govern his life

Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination. These rights are all interrelated, interdependent and indivisible.

The implementation of the “war on drugs” by the President of the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte, helped to reduce the number of people addicted to it due to the death penalty for drug users. But unfortunately many tragedies happened when they raid the drug users, many were affected by those raids not only adults but also children 18 and older for me I don’t agree with that, although a person can change, even if he has made a mistake, he can start again and correct what needs to be corrected. In human rights, it is up to us if we like to do things wrongly we have what is called “conscience” fault is
whether heavy or not, all we need is guidance and explanation of things. Scientists can help a lot in deciphering things like whether they will affect us or not.

For me we must learn to obey the government because they are the leaders who can help now how to make a country a peaceful place I hope we also learn to do what is right and not disobey it just for personal gain.
